As a Commissioner of the Putnam County Board of Elections, Mr. Scannapieco has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
The Putnam County Board of Elections is a bipartisan office which is responsible for the execution of the electoral process and enforcement of all rules relating to the elective franchise. The Board works diligently to maintain confidence in the political process of the County through the faithful implementation of New York State Election Law. They aim to create an atmosphere that encourages everyone to participate in the political process.
Anthony has served as Commissioner for over 20 years with a consistent mission of service to his county while governing the laws of elections. He is a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Navy. Mr. Scannapieco has also served as a Fire Lieutenant during his impressive professional career.
During his educational career, Anthony earned a PhD in Public Administration from La Salle University. He has lectured and been published on several occasions. He has performed countless hours of community service winning numerous awards for his dedication. Mr. Scannapieco is a proud member of the Republican Party. In the time away from his busy schedule, he greatly enjoys spending time with his family.
