As Fire Chief for the Wainwright Battalion of the North Slope Borough Fire Department, Jimmie has routinely exhibited the dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
The North Slope Borough Fire Department has a unique emergency services system. Volunteer and career personnel cooperatively provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. They are an equal opportunity, progressive organization whose goal is to provide the highest quality service within the constraints of their funding and personnel resources. Through their 9 fire rescue stations, they provide emergency fire, rescue, and medical services for an estimated 10,000 residents, while covering 88,000 square miles of land.
Mr. Kagak possesses exceptional expertise in fire fighting as well as all aspects of running a fire department. He is a member of the Alaska State Fire Chiefs Association. In the time away from his busy schedule, Jimmie loves to play with his newborn. An avid outdoorsman, he greatly enjoys hunting.
