Human Rights Administrator Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community
Stanford Who's Who welcomes C. Vernon Gray to the ranks of premier professionals as a result of his remarkable work in local government.
COLUMBIA, MD, July 23, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes C. Vernon Gray to the ranks of premier professionals as a result of his remarkable work in local government. As Administrator of The Howard County Office of Human Rights, as well as throughout his incredible professional career, Mr. Gray has consistently displayed the passion, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
The Howard County Office of Human Rights is an entity of the Howard County Government that seeks to eradicate discrimination, increase equal opportunity and protect and promote Human Rights in the County. The Office serves as a catalyst in fostering attitudes and beliefs among Howard County citizens which confirm that all individuals have an equal opportunity to enjoy a wholesome and productive quality of life and can pursue their lives free of discrimination.
The office acts as an administrator and enforcer of human rights laws. They investigate and process complaints of unlawful discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodation, law enforcement and finance. They conduct public hearings of issues affecting the protection and promotion of Human Rights. They also cooperate with other local, state, and federal agencies and officials to protect and promote better human relations.
During his educational career, Mr. Gray earned a PhD in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts in 1971. He is a Life Member of the NAACP. Mr. Gray is also the Founder and Chair of Healthy Family Howard County. He is a retired professor of Political Science at Morgan State University as well.
